Virtual Support Group meetings are held on Tuesdays at 10:00 am and 6:30 pm for the dates below.

2025 Support Group Dates

  • May 27th at 10am PST – Meal Prep & Planning: Strategies for Success

    This session will focus on the essential skills of meal prep and planning to support a healthy lifestyle post-bariatric surgery. Participants will learn practical tips for creating balanced meals, how to efficiently grocery shop, and the benefits of batch cooking. We will discuss ways to customize meal plans to meet individual nutritional needs and preferences while minimizing food waste. And yes, it can be affordable!

  • June 10th at 6:30pm PST – Mindful Movement: Incorporating Exercise into Your Routine

    This session emphasizes the role of physical activity in the bariatric journey. We will explore various types of exercise suitable for different fitness levels, discuss how to create a balanced exercise routine, and address common barriers to staying active. Participants will be encouraged to set personal fitness goals and share tips on staying motivated and making movement a fun and enjoyable part of their daily lives.

  • October 28th at 10am PST – Understanding Food Labels: Making Informed Choices

    In this session, we will explore how to read and understand food labels to make healthier choices post-bariatric surgery. Participants will learn to identify key nutritional information, including serving sizes, calorie content, macronutrients, and ingredients. We will discuss the importance of choosing foods that align with their dietary goals and how to spot hidden sugars, unhealthy fats, and additives.
