Megan Bershon, MHA, BRN, RN
Director of Surgical Services
Megan is responsible for the overseeing of the ambulatory surgery center. She helps coordinate the day to day operations of the center with providers, caregivers, and patients. Megan earned her associates degree from Motlow State Community College in Lynchburg, Tennessee in 2002. Over the years she has gone back to school for her BSN and completed her Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration in 2018. She started her nursing career at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee before moving out to the Pacific Northwest in 2004. Megan worked as a bedside nurse in ICU for several years at a local hospital before embarking on her leadership journey in perioperative and interventional services. This journey eventually led her to NWWLS and Sound Surgeons Surgery Center where she began her role as the director for surgery at Sound Surgeons Surgery Center in May 2021. Megan is passionate about patient advocacy and ensuring she and her team are up to date with best practice standards.
I enjoy reading, exercising, cooking, and spending time with my family.
Patient Care Philosophy:
We are healthcare professionals have an obligation to speak up for our patients when they cannot speak for themselves, to be the provide patient’s with encouragement and compassion when they are at their most vulnerable. I have been a nurse for 19 years and each year patient safety, patient advocacy, and patient compassion drive my needs to provide the best care possible to our patients and their families. This in the long run will enable our patients to have the best outcomes possible and the most success on their journey with our teams at NWWLS/Sound Surgeons Surgery Center.
